Fetterman Oz debate
More than five months after suffering a stroke, Pennsylvania Democrat John Fetterman refused to release his full medical records during a highly anticipated debate with Republican Mehmet Oz at ABC27 Studios on Tuesday.
In May, Fetterman, Pennsylvania’s 53-year-old lieutenant governor, suffered a stroke that almost killed him. He addressed what he called the “elephant in the room” on Tuesday night.
“I had a stroke. He’s never let me forget that,”
said of his Republican opponent.
“And I might miss some words during this debate, mush two words together, but it knocked me down and I’m going to keep coming back up.”
Additionally, he went on offense by attacking Oz’s “gigantic mansions” and his integrity.
The celebrity and heart surgeon ignored Fetterman’s health issues throughout the debate, instead focusing on his immigration, crime, and Biden support policies. At one point, Oz said Fetterman is:
“trying to get as many murderers out of jail as possible.”
